Reading Half Marathon

Glad to announce Myself and Rob managed to finish the Half Marathon. I have to say it was touch and go! After 6 miles is was looking dodgy for me. Running is just not my thing. Rob then had a server bout of cramp at 10 miles but battled through and placed a good time. I shuffled in about 40 mins later.

We are both in alot of pain today but it was worth it. Thanks so much for all who donated money. I will never run a half marathon again!! Bring on Everest.....it will be a doddle compared to that!

Doughnut sale

Our doughnut sale at school went with no hitches. A massive thank you to all who supported the Krispy Kreme Sale this break. Many people went out of their way to support our sale and it is massively appreciated.

We raised £450 to go towards our Charity Brooklands School Fund, North Yorkshire. Special thanks to Patrick Harland for his help and the swim squad for all their help selling the doughnuts. This weekend is the Reading Half Marathon. Im more and more nervous every day! Red bull and painkillers will get me through :)

11th March - Website goes live

Hi everyone.

Today is a great day. The website is finally up and running. I just want to say a massive thankyou to Steve for all your hard work and help on this.

I will aim to give you regular updates on our fundraising activities. The first is the Reading half marathon next week. I have to say myself and rob have been working pretty hard on getting fit for this however not alot of running. We are both a little nervous. For those of you that know me and have seen me run you will know what a massive acheivement this will be for me if I manage it.

Please sponsor me because raising money for Brooklands means alot to me, thats all the motivation I need.

Anway good luck to all my swimmers, swimming in counties this weekend. Im in Manchester on a GB Disability Camp but will be getting regular updates.

HI All,

I know its been a while since I have written but heres the latest update.

As I have started a new job with the ever so wonderfull Rushmoor Royals Swimming CLub as Head Coach....myself and Rob had to delay the trek to Febuary. We leave Febuary 11th 2011.

We have so far raised a wonderful amount of money for Brooklands and I hope this will continue. They are looking inot ways of spending the money raised at the moment and hopfully will be buying some sort of outdoor equiptment.

In the mean time, Rob and myself are getting fit ready for the challenge. Its even turning into me getting back into the pool every now and again!!

In other news I have now started work with my new club and they are going well and the swimmers are a pleasure to work with. I have also started work with the GB Syncro girls who are amazing! So all is good.

Look out for more updates.
